DB Records was a small record label started in Atlanta by Danny Beard after he marketed one of the most popular Modern World songs (by request and by personal favorites during childhood), "Rock Lobster" by The B-52's. The roster was augmented by popular bands of the Southeast United States like Love Tractor, Pylon, The Windbreakers, The Swimming Pool Q's, and The Reivers (formerly Zeitgeist).
Information on DB Records is not easy to find on the Internet. Somehow, most record label discographies omit labels like this. So far, only one site has any detailed information on it.
This week's show will feature a few selections from the DB Records roster.
NOTE: The US Label DB Records is not to be confused with the UK label of the same name.
